LET'S GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING

LETS GO BACK TO THE START....

THE CHALLENGE

  • Perceived Complexity and Lengthy Process
The perception that starting a startup was overly complex and time-consuming, often leading students to abandon their entrepreneurial ambitions mid-journey.

  • Lack of Knowledge and Resources
Students lacked essential startup knowledge and tools, leaving them ill-equipped for their entrepreneurial journey and prompting questions such as, "How do you start a startup?"
  • Lack of Self-Belief
One primary challenge we faced was a pervasive self-doubt among young individuals, inhibiting them from pursuing technological projects and entrepreneurial aspirations.

  • Lack of Guidance
Students starting tech enterprises often feel isolated, lacking clear guidance and reliable support sources, leading to feelings of being lost and unsupported.

EXPLORING UX CONCEPT

#01

Startup Onboarding Process

To maximize student engagement, our onboarding process is designed for simplicity, allowing students to quickly start or join a startup with minimal steps—just four easy screens. This approach minimizes barriers to entry, ensuring minimum friction points.

At first, I considered requiring the entry of a role for each team member. However, I ultimately discarded the idea to avoid complicating the process.

#02

Startup Management – Main Dashboard Screen

Responding to user research, our main dashboard offers a clear overview of all startups a student is involved in, highlighting their current stage, recent messages, and upcoming events.

This centralized view simplifies startup management, enabling students to easily track progress, communicate with their peers, and stay informed about relevant events. Dedicated pages provide more details on the startups, messages, and events.

#03

Dashboard for Managing the Startup

To foster engagement and minimize dropout rates, each startup's dashboard is designed as part of a competition framework, encouraging progression through defined stages.

A visible timeline indicates the current stage of the startup, coupled with clear, prominent instructions on what actions are needed to advance to the next stage. This setup is aimed at motivating students to actively develop their startup by providing them with a sense of direction and achievable goals.
