OVERVIEW
Located near Haifa's Sammy Ofer Stadium, the 'Neot Peres' neighborhood faced vehicle entry restrictions during events. To address residents' frustrations and simplify guests entry procedure, I redesigned the manual entry request process into a user-friendly digital system, benefiting both residents and their guests
APPLICATION
PROTOTYPE
THE CHALLENGES
Non-digital booking process
Residents call the municipal call center and provide guest details, which are manually recorded on an Excel file.
This manual process can lead to errors and delays
Advanced planning required
During events residents cannot invite guests on a whim, they must request approval at least 24 hours in advance
Lack of data
Visibility of the stadium's events schedule in order to plan for guest entry requests
Long wait at the neighborhood gate
The guard manually searches for guest information on a printed Excel file, causing traffic congestion at the neighborhood entrance
Potential human error & process failures
The call center operator may input the guest's data incorrectly, or the Excel file may not be sent to the guard on time
RESEARCH
To gain a deeper understanding of the residents' needs, we conducted a brief survey.
Report lack of
awareness
Residents were not aware of the schedule events held at the stadium
Dissatisfied with the current process
Residents were not satisfied with the existing guest entry approval process
Invite the same guests on a regular basis
Residents reported they invite the same guests on a weekly or monthly basis.
Avoid inviting guests during events
Residents said they avoided inviting guests when events were being held at the stadium
USER INTERVIEWS
INSIGHTS
Making events schedule available to all residents for better planning
Simplifying and speeding up the guest booking process to reduce frustration
Allowing requests to be made close and even during the events
CONCLUSION & SOLUTION
Transforming the existing analog process into a fast and user-friendly digital solution

EXPLORING UX CONCEPT
#01
Identification screen
2 Drafts
Residents use their registered ID number and phone number on the identification screen to simplify the booking process. A verification SMS is sent upon submission.
Draft 1:
Property renters without updated details may require assistance from the property owner to complete the process.
Draft 2:
The enhanced identification screen offers two options: residents can now use either their registered ID number and phone number or the property number and ID to identify themselves. This improvement enables renters to easily complete the process independently, without assistance from the property owner. Additionally, a link to the property tax account provides quick access to the property number, further simplifying the process
#02
Date selection screen
2 Drafts
Draft 1:
The events are conveniently divided into three categories: upcoming events in the week, upcoming events in the month, and other events. However, residents who frequently invite guests on fixed days, such as Saturday nights, may have difficulty locating the specific dates they need.
Draft 2:
The updated version of the events list includes a calendar view in addition to the list view, making it easier for residents to locate specific dates for events. This will benefit residents who frequently invite guests on fixed days, such as Saturday nights
#03
Adding Guests
3 Drafts
Draft 1:
Users can easily select the name of their guest from a list of pre-existing guests available in the application
Draft 2:
If the guest is not listed in the application, you can manually input their details and add them to the guest list if desired
Draft 3:
Allowing the user to add a guest from their phone contacts, which automatically populates the guest's details (excluding vehicle number), and saves it in the application.
